Continuing Education Credits
All DSS programs are screened through a committee of industry leaders and experts on interior design continuing education. Each health safety, general practice or welfare designated program offers 2 hours (0.2 CEUs) of intermediate or advanced content that is approved by the Interior Deign Continuing Education Council (IDCEC) and accepted by ASID, IIDA, IDC and IDEC. Many state and provincial regulatory boards also accept IDCEC-approved courses to satisfy CEU requirements. Detailed certificates of completion are provided onsite at each event.
DSS programs are considered Structured Self-Reported Programs by AIA and are accepted for Learning Units (LUs) by many state boards. These structured courses are offered by ASID as a third-party, non-CES provider. AIA members must complete the AIA/CES Self-Report Form and submit it to AIA/CES Records at the University of Oklahoma. The ASID provided documentation of attendance/participation is submitted this form as supplemental documentation when reporting to meet a state licensure requirement.
