Keynote: Jean-Michel Cousteau

For more than four decades, explorer, environmentalist, educator and film producer Jean-Michel Cousteau has used his vast experience to communicate to people of all nations and generations his love and concern for our planet. Cousteau serves as an impassioned spokesman and diplomat for the environment as president of the Ocean Futures Society, traveling the globe to energize alliances for positive change. A graduate of the Paris School of Architecture, Jean-Michel is a member of the Ordre National des Architectes. His work demonstrates a flair for infusing the functional with a new vision and he has collaborated on artificial floating islands, schools, a residential and recreational complex in Madagascar, and the headquarters of an advanced marine studies center in Marseilles, France. His most recent project is the Jean-Michel Cousteau Fiji Islands Resort, designed to demonstrate the possibilities of an environmentally responsible and culturally appropriate resort.
